Only a decade late but Exerciser now sits in it’s rightful place in the triplej Hottest 100 playlist from 1999.
Interestingly in the early days of Hottest 100, the Double CD that was produced was not necessarily tracklisted in the order of the countdown. Although Rhubarb’s Exerciser ranked #20 on the day, it was given track #5 on the first CD which was a win for the band.
Those Hottest 100 CDs were a goldmine for the station and meant a lot to an indie band like us.
